I am thrilled to announce the opening of Diamonds in the Library's first giveaway. Thanks to Mervis Diamond Importers, I have a pair of classic diamond earrings to give away to one lucky reader.
To enter, you must sign into the Rafflecoptor widget below and do the one mandatory option (leaving a blog post comment). There are multiple options available if you want to earn extra entries.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
There's one more way to enter: if you buy something at Mervis Diamonds in the next two weeks (they're having a trunk show next weekend!) and mention this blog post, you'll get an extra entry.
Rafflecoptor uses Random.org to ensure the winner will be completely random (so no, there's no point in trying to bribe me.) The contest closes on Friday, August 2nd and I'll announce the winner on the following Monday.
I won't use your information for anything but this contest, so if you'd like to stay in the loop for Mervis' events you should sign up for their mailing list here .

Update: I'm getting so many fabulous answers already!! Can't wait to hear from more of you. I have the best readers. <3
Don't miss any of the fabulousness! Follow me:

I'm starting veterinary school in the fall, so I will be wearing these beauties to my White Coat Ceremony at the start of the semester. This is when I get my white doctor's lab coat and am formally inducted into the school of Veterinary Medicine.
ReplyDeleteYay! What a fabulous givaway! I'm all in, and praying it's international :/
ReplyDeleteWhat would I do with these? I can see myself wearing them for a night out with my friends -- a nice dinner, a little wine, a fun conversation and... diamonds to make the night perfect! Even if I don't win, a pair of earrings in this style are definitely on my wishlist!
That sounds perfectly lovely :)
DeleteBecky! What a great giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteIf I won the earrings, they'd make a fabulous birthday present for me :) I like that they are simple enough to wear to work and fabulous enough to jazz up a dressy outfit for night!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for small earrings just like this!!! Perfect timing for a giveaway! ;)
ReplyDeletePlease, please, please. I'm allergic to most metals so jewelry is expensive for me. I only have six pairs of earrings because of this.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to embark on my final year at University and in the process I will be applying to hundreds of jobs/internships/graduate schemes in hopes of going forward in a dream career. I am very nervous at this kind of thing and I know with a pair of diamond earrings I can strut right into an interview and dazzle with that extra shine of confidence.
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing giveaway! These are gorgeous! I spend all my money on books, so my jewelry collection is decidedly unimaginative. :)
ReplyDeleteWearing them, of course! I've been wanting a classic pair of earrings for ages :)
ReplyDeleteThese would make a perfect birthday gift for myself :-)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, if I win them, I'll probably solder more details to them.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to college in the fall so I could wear them to class and be that one girl who gets way too dressed up for class :)
ReplyDeleteI would wear them to class everyday and be that one girl who thinks she's Marilyn Monroe in college with the red lipstick and gorgeous earrings ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love these! I would wear them all the time! They would add a touch of elegance to any look!
ReplyDeleteI will wear them to my organization's fancy reception in New York this fall!
ReplyDeleteVery cool, Becky! Every girl should have some diamonds. :) Thanks for the giveaway, Mervis Diamonds.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! And thank you; I could not be more pumped about it!
DeleteWhat an awesome giveaway! I hardly wear earrings anymore because of the weight, these would make it so I could still have some sparkle!
ReplyDeleteBecky so happy to help your brilliant blog get the attention it deserves! Also those are beautiful earrings!
ReplyDeleteHooray!
xo
Sarah
Thank you, lovely!
DeleteI'd wear these with a simple shirt, skinny jeans and Jack Rogers sandals- to make those diamonds shine even more!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting a pair of delicate diamond earrings to become my everyday sparkle, and these would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these. I would wear them on the first day of school to bring a bit of being to my high school library.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great giveaway! These totally need to come with me when I head to #bloggerscene in August for my Twitter panel discussion!
ReplyDeleteI am going to Switch and Glitch down every street proudly displaying my beautiful diamond earrings!
ReplyDeleteIt's a disgrace that I go to Yale and don't own diamond earrings.
ReplyDeleteTrue story.
DeleteNow that am officially in my late 20s, it's time for me to start classing up my jewelry collection--and I'm also allergic to most metals, so these would be perfect all around!
ReplyDeleteI can see these being great on you :)
DeleteHi Becky!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for things to wear with my vintage wedding dress! These would be absolutely perfect - simple, classic, and I wouldn't feel weird wearing them with my everyday work attire!
(also I hope you're doing well!)
Love,
Cathy
Hi Cathy!! That is such a good answer. Vintage wedding dress - SUPER exciting!! I'm sure it's beautiful. I'm doing fabulously and I hope you are too.
Deletexoxo
Becky
If I won these, I would wear these to work, because I need something pretty to get me through my day.
ReplyDeleteIf I won these, I would give these to the bestest girl in the world, my gf! She always makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteIf I won these earrings, I would be so happy. I unfortunately had to sell my diamond earrings to pay my car insurance after having my identity stolen and having my checking account overdrawn. Because the bill was due before the whole mess was straightened out, I had to sell my diamond earrings in order to pay my car insurance. To have a beautiful pair of diamond earrings would be wonderful, especially since my 31st wedding anniversary is on September 18th. I could not think of a more wonderful gift !
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! I love this blog, by the way. I would wear them on special occasions. Probably not to work, but I do work in a library, so that irony would make me giggle :)
ReplyDeleteIt makes me giggle too. And thank you! Good luck!
DeleteI'd give them to my sister
ReplyDeleteI would wear them to my BFFs bachelorette party. During the party things will most likely get out of control. We'll be ushered into the criminal underworld where we'll be forced to cooperate in a heist. Everything that can go wrong in the heist will go wrong, because there's that one guy (me) who is waaay too excited about the heist and starts shooting (not at people, mind you, just into the air, which is equally dangerous and stupid but I've been imbibing all night so what do you expect?). The bride-to-be and others from the party grab the getaway driver and throw him out of the car, they abandon the heist materials but I try to grab them anyway as I'm jumping into the back of the van. I feel like f$#-ing Val Kilmer (good looking Val from "Heat")! With my hands full, I miss the jump as the van peels away. I'm imprisoned and whilst serving time, I trade the earrings for protection. Later, I give up key people in the crime ring to the Feds and earn my freedom.
ReplyDeleteYou are officially winning "most creative" so far. Well done.
DeleteI would use them as leverage to get my husband to finally - FINALLY - take me out to dinner for our anniversary. It's almost the anniversary of our anniversary, for goodness' sakes.
ReplyDeleteAlways love your posts but don't always comment. I think I might wear just one of these earrings far up in the third piercing in one ear, and wear something bigger in the lowest piercings. I'd feel just a little bit punk that way. Or I might wear just the one, high up, on its own, with a black leather jacket, jeans, and tough boots. Don't know why I see these as punk but somehow I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you, lovely! I'm glad uyou were able to enter. I hadn't thought of them as punk but they're so simple that I'm pretty sure you could take them in any direction you wanted. If you do win, I'd love to see a photo of the resulting outfit! Good luck!
Deletehmmm, not sure if my post has showed up yet. Technologically I'm a dunce, but I know my earrings and these are lovely. I think I'd wear them at my book launch party when my next poetry book featuring poems about my beautiful and talented daughters (who of course have an uncanny sense of style.) And of course to bed!
ReplyDeleteAmazing giveaway! Def a great piece to have in a jewlery collection. It can go with so many different outfits/occasions.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting married next year and have started looking at jewelry for the big day. I'm probably going to end up with a pretty shiny/large necklace, so simple chic earrings like this would probably balance it out perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI actually work in a library, so I'd love to wear these in to work. They look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI actually work in a library, so I'd love to wear these to work. They're so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIf I won these, I'd lend them first to my cousin who is getting married this year. They'd be perfect for the something borrowed - good luck dharma to share on her big day.
ReplyDeleteIf I win them,I am going to go with them to my cousin's wedding
ReplyDeleteWhere wouldn't I wear them!!? Such a great prize!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway! Thanks for the chance to enter!

Great to give to the gf :)
ReplyDeleteGreat to give to the gf :)
ReplyDeleteHey Becky! If I were to win these classy earrings, I would probably gift them to your beautiful sister. :)
ReplyDeleteAww. Everyone else is lucky that this is a random giveaway ;)
DeleteIf I win, I would wear the earrings out with my sister, who would also be adorned with fabulous jewelry.
ReplyDeleteSparkly diamond earrings? That's an anywhere, anytime kind of thing. I'd probably end up sleeping in them since they have that looped closure and wouldn't stab me in the side of the skull. Places I would not wear them include: places where earrings aren't allowed, ie on the pitch!
ReplyDeleteLet's start out with a smaller category such as where I would not wear them. I'm thinking only places where earrings are verboten such as on the pitch. Otherwise, anywhere at anytime is a great time for sparkly diamonds :) Got to get my glitter on, as it were!
