Art Deco diamond panel ring by Lacloche Freres.

Whenever I see the name "Lacloche Freres" on a piece of Art Deco jewelery, I know it's going to be good. This ring is no exception.

Have you ever seen a ring quite like this before? I think it's very unique. It would appear to be simple from a distance, but the longer I look at it the more complex I realize it is.

It's designed as a pavé -set baguette-cut diamond convex cut-cornered rectangular panel trimmed with small single-cut diamonds and set to the center with a single-brilliant-cut diamond collet, mounted in platinum. I think it would be a really spectacular engagement ring or a gorgeous right-hand ring. If I suddenly win the lottery, you can expect to see me wearing this as the latter.

This beautiful thing is currently for sale at Humphrey Butler. All images and info are thanks to Humphrey Butler.

Update: I've since found another, older listing for this ring with a new image. This one's from a 2005 Bonhams listing:

It's clearly the same ring, but the images looks a bit less cleaned-up. Beautiful.
