I feel like we know each other well enough by now that you know you can trust me I say I'm going to show you something especially spectacular. You're going to want to sit down before you look at this one.
This ring is Edwardian, made in 1910-1920. Also, I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this, but it has a huge diamond. You're looking at a 6.48 carat antique cushion-cut diamond, which is accompanied by a GIA - Gem Trade Laboratory - report stating: 'I' color - 'VS2' clarity.
The setting - which is all original - glistens with French-cut diamonds down each side and tiny round diamonds all around the gallery.
Perhaps most spectacularly, this ring is adorned on almost every non-diamond surface with lovely, feather-delicate hand engraving.
Any ring can have a giant diamond - it's the attention to detail from every single angle that makes this one so special.
