One reason that Art Deco jewelry is so special is the attention to detail that's so evident in the jewelry of that era. Edwardian jewelry is often the same. People simply understood that a piece of jewelry could be seen from any angle, so they made sure that all of the angles were beautiful.
This ring is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Please note the classic Art Deco geometric motif with the diamonds and sapphires, the contrasting color scheme of the deep blue sapphires with the bright diamonds and platinum mounting.
